"The Metro"

Originally built in 1924 in San Francisco, The Metro Theatre was remodeld in 1941 and featured the largest screen and best sound system in the city. In the scene I've depicted, two landmark films from director Elia Kazan are showing: 1954's "On the Waterfront" starring Marlon Brando, and 1955's "East of Eden", with newcomer James Dean, in his first starring role. -- L.G.
