"Pan-Pacific Autorama 1938"
By Larry Grossman - RetroVisions

The Pan Pacific Auditorium, built in Los Angeles in 1935, was the site of many early Autorama Car Shows. In this scene, set in front of the building's glorious Streamlined Moderne facade, we see an assortment of beautiful period cars, including (from left to right): a 1938 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe, a 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster, a 1933 Ford Roadster, a 1937 Supercharged Cord 812 Sportsman, and a 1938 Packard 1604 Super Eight Roadster. Upper left is a 1938 Dubonnet Xenia. Tragically, this historic building was destroyed by fire in 1989. -- L.G.
