"Curtiss P-40 Warhawk Flying Tiger"
By Larry Grossman - RetroVisions

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk first flew in 1938. Painted with the fearsome Shark mouth design, it was flown with great success by Claire Chennault's famed Flying Tiger A.V.G. (all volunteer group) squadron against the Japanese in the early days of World War ll, and saw action throughout the war in the European theater as well. -- L.G.
